Subject: "Environmental Agenda for CERC" - request for comments on the report - reg
According to section 13(f) of ERC Act 1998, Commission has the responsibility to discharge the function of environmental protection by associating with environmental regulatory agencies. For that, it wishes to develop apporporate policies and procedures on environmental regulation of power sector. A basic document called "Environmental Agenda for CERC" has already been prepared, in this regard. Tata Energy Research Institute (TERI), a pioneering research Institute in the field of Energy and Environment, has worked for the report and it submitted the same to the Commission during this month.
Commission expects comments on the report. Experts/ Institutions and interested persons in the field may kindly send their comments to the Commission on or before 15th, December 2000.
